Animosity and criticism- ramifications of success

“Do not fear the thorns in your path, for they draw only the corrupt blood”
-Kahlil Gibran
A strong desire to achieve something, a quality that motivates you to a particular goal is what ambition summarizes. It gives us a purpose in life, a goal to pine for, and a strong sense of resilience. Theoretically, this seems to be an effortless approach to life but in reality, is it possible?
In this era of inferiority and self-doubt, can a person be ambitious towards their goals? It poses infinite difficulties. He/she will at some point think of how the people around will perceive them. In conclusion, it becomes rather difficult to be ambitious keeping in mind all the hate that comes with it.
Self-calling that is, realizing a person’s destiny is the only real obligation of a person, and once you succeed in doing that the whole universe conspires in helping you achieve it.
We have to make efforts persistently and not let the negative forces affect our growth and become the force that is capable of defining its own course.
Success is all rainbow and flowers until we come across the negatives that come along with it. In this world, there are two types of people, one who will be genuinely elated by your success and the other, not so much. The kind of people who come in the latter group, behind their negative façade is just someone who could not deal with the underlying feelings of inadequacies. No matter how much we try, their harsh words will give a painful jab at our enthusiasm. So how can we deal with that?
Among the many ways, the best way to avoid this is by disarming them with kindness.
“You talk when you cease to be at peace with your thoughts” These adversities cause unsettling chaos within our souls, which needs to be addressed or they will most definitely lead to our downfall. Humble and polite words do not go waste; they can calm down the most colossal indignation of the human mind. Kindness is not a symbol of weakness or deficiency, but it is a manifestation of strength.
We cannot possibly decipher the difference between good and evil, yet this world in its surprising ways makes us all pigeonholed to be good. You cannot be good to all. What may be good for you may not be good for someone else, but choosing your self-worth above everything is the sign of a true fighter, who is determined to chase their ambition.
In the 21st century, it becomes important to tame the effect of criticism and hate, to survive in such a fast-paced world is what evolves us into a human being who is not afraid of being ambitious and is truly a karma yogi.
